10 Steps To Join Bright

1. You decide how much involvement, if any, you wish to retain with your clients. Our business model is very flexible and the level of your ongoing involvement is down to you.

2. We undertake due diligence on your business. This includes a review of your unearned commission liability, if any, and a compliance overview.

3. Your client data needs to be prepared. Our associated company IFA Data Ltd will complete this task on your behalf, but the time spent on it is chargeable. This can be achieved by: -

- Compiling the information from insurance companies and investment houses.
- Electronic transfer of data from your existing database.
- Manual transfer of data from your existing database.

We do, however, give you the guarantee that if by undertaking this work we do not generate additional income to cover the fee, we will meet the cost of the fee.

4. A joining date is agreed, and the contract signed. The client database then forms an integral part of the contract.

5. You write to your clients providing them with detail of your impending retirement, and your relationship with Bright, in line with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.

6. We agree with you the manner in which you wish your clients to be serviced, and introductions are effected where appropriate.

7. We then write to the clients welcoming them to Bright, giving them an opportunity to contact us.

8. We then contact the various insurers and investment houses and undertake a bulk transfer of agency. From experience, we manage to complete 85% of agency transfers within the first month and 100% of transfers within three months.

9. We then work with you on an ongoing basis to ensure that your clients receive the appropriate level of advice and service.

10. You can now relax, you have retired.
